Since primitive times people have fashioned objects of beauty to
decorate themselves. Even the earliest of peoples adorned
their bodies and loved their necks.
Jewelry has been made out of many kinds of materials,
such as gold, silver, precious stones, seeds, glass, bone, horn,
clay, and even teeth. From its most basic form, jewelry may have been
simply a form of decoration, but it grew to represent many things
about the wearer, like personality, interests, and even way of life.
Jewelry is still an important and satisfying way of expressing oneself
even today in this age of telecommunications and mass media.
As an artist, I try to use as many different and interesting materials as
possible. Some materials are gathered from nature, and adapted to meet the
standards our modern society has come to expect.
I also create some of my own materials when they are
otherwise unavailable for a particular vision.
All of the items here are one of a kind and you will
never find the same one anywhere else, nor will it ever be duplicated. In this
way you can be assured that your piece is truly as unique and rare
as you are.
So when you travel through my site to choose your own jewelry try
to think of what is meaningful to you... and your neck.
